As President, I want to welcome you to the Massachusetts College of Emergency Physician's website. MACEP is an organization of more than 750 emergency physicians that is dedicated to advancing excellence in emergency care, and advocating for emergency physicians, their patients and the health of the community. MACEP’s efforts have had an enormous positive effect on the delivery of emergency care in Massachusetts and changes due to our efforts on the local level are being lauded nationally.
One of the remarkable aspects of MACEP is the ability of individuals to participate, even in small ways, to advance our efforts to improve emergency care in Massachusetts. I strongly encourage you to become involved in the College as an active member. Start your involvement by attending a committee or Board meeting, listen to the many issues MACEP is advocating for, and soon enough you too will be adding your insights and ideas to the discussion. There are many so opportunities in different areas to explore, that certainly you will find an area that really interests you. Your participation in your professional society can be a rewarding experience - helping to make a difference in fulfilling our mission.
