The strategic plan identifies the goals of the communications committee.

 

The communications committee has recently redesigned www.macep.org. Our goals are to provide members with a new web design that makes navigation easier, frequent updates regarding MACEP meetings and activities, an online newsletter , contact information for the Board of Directors and Committee Chairs, and information regarding the current activities of the various MACEP committee. We believe the new website will make the numerous activities of our organization more accessible to the membership, which will hopefully encourage participation.

 

All of the information on the previous website has been maintained on the new site. In 2008, we hope to update all of the previous pages as well as provide new sections. The Website policy (approved February 2003) and Website update policy (approved April 2003) will guide this effort. Please contact us with any feedback regarding the website redesign or suggestions for new content.

 

Beginning with the November 2002 Newsletter , we placed all MACEP newsletters online. We have included an newsletter archive to house past newsletters. Previous newsletters will be posted depending on availability. If you have old newsletters and would like to donate them to MACEP for scanning and posting on website, please contact MACEP Executive Director Tanya Pearson or Communications Committee Chair Joseph Bergen.

 

The "Email policy" (approved February 2003) addresses MACEP use of emails, including mass e-mailings to the general membership. In 2003, the Communications and Membership Committees, along with Tanya Pearson (Executive Director), will create a more complete list of members' email addresses.

 

We are in the process of identifying past recipients of the Pinnacle Award and Vanguard Award. If you have any information about past winners, please contact us with full names & years. We would like recognize these individuals in the "History of MACEP" section.
